A variety of different Offshore investments exist as either Flexible Investments or Endowments. The Investment can be a true Offshore product where funds are processed and registered via the Reserve Bank and where the proceeds will pay out outside of South Africa, into any currency and into any Offshore Bank account, or you can also invest Offshore via Asset Swap arrangements, where the underlying investment is still Rand based and the proceeds at maturity will pay out in South Africa.
